Surah Ya-Sin / Verse 25

إِنِّي آمَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ

I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me

Having set out his reasons, the believing man now openly declares his faith. He does not stop at arguing for the truth; he states that he himself has accepted it.

The phrase “your Lord” may indicate that he is now speaking directly to the divine messengers: “I believe in the Lord who sent you, so bear witness to my faith.” On this reading, he supports them openly in front of people who have rejected and threatened them.

His speech began as a compassionate invitation to his own people and now becomes a public declaration of conviction.

He not only called others to follow the truth but also had the courage to stand by it himself. Faith is not merely a belief kept within his heart. It becomes visible in his words and conduct even when taking such a stand may expose him to danger.
